Our Work Together

I offer a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, where your goals guide our work together.

Some types of therapy I typically use during our sessions:

  • Narrative Therapy- In which you have the opportunity to tell your story and take a look at the circumstances that brought you here. I will provide support as you examine your life, help you draw on your strengths, and imagine how you would like your life to be going forward.

  • Mindfulness -This is a word that means a lot of different things to different people. For our work together, mindfulness just means learning to notice your state of being at any given time. By simply noticing how you feel regularly, you can gain control of your emotions, pause before you react, and choose how you would like to be in the world.

  • Attachment Theory-Understanding how early connections have shaped the way you relate to others.

  • Internal Family Systems-Embracing all parts of you with kindness and acceptance. We will examine how protective instincts have served you in the past, how they are working for you now, and how to move toward taking charge of your life.
